Following changes in provincial legislation in 2023, the City of Coquitlam is prioritizing Transit-Oriented Areas, as well as surrounding “shoulders” and corridors like Austin Avenue and Como Lake Avenue—many of which align with existing plans for growth in City Centre and Burquitlam-Lougheed. An early purchase in these rapidly evolving, sustainable, and walkable neighbourhoods is likely to prove a smart long-term investment.
