The Evergreen SkyTrain Extension is a rapid transit line in Metro Vancouver that connects Coquitlam and Port Moody to the rest of the SkyTrain network. It runs through Burnaby, Port Moody, and Coquitlam, offering a more accessible transit option for the Tri-Cities area (Port Coquitlam, Coquitlam, and Port Moody).

The Evergreen extension was developed to reduce traffic congestion, improve commuter transit options, and promote sustainable urban development.

This extension, completed in 2016, added 11 kilometres (6.8 miles) of track to the existing Millennium Line, with six new stations.

It includes elevated tracks, at-grade sections, and a two-kilometre tunnel under Burnaby Mountain. Stations along the Evergreen Line include Burquitlam, Moody Centre, Inlet Centre, Coquitlam Central, and Lafarge Lake-Douglas.
This expansion has boosted the corridor’s real estate developments and urban growth, attracting residential and commercial projects.
