The Heights On Austin – Coquitlam

Beedie Living is constructing two residential condo towers at the Austin Heights Safeway store that is currently under construction. The buildings will be 26 (west) and 27 (east) storeys tall with 170 and 186 homes totalling 356 between the two. Over half of the homes will contain 2 or more bedrooms. The unit mix will consist of 1, 2, 3, and 4 bed units as well as some 1 + den. These two buildings will be integrated into the Safeway and share a common underground parking lot. These new homes will be located walking distance to Blue Mountain Park as well as quite close to the Vancouver Golf Club and Lougheed Town Centre with all of its shopping and SkyTrain access.

Amenities

On offer will also be over 30,000 sq ft of amenity space. The amenity areas for each building are nearly identical on the inside containing a fitness centre, sauna, steam room, and kitchen indoors but differ slightly in the outdoor amenities. The West tower includes seating areas, outdoor kitchen and eating area, lounge, fireplace and a children’s play space.  Where as the East tower has a frisbee lawn, lounge, bocce court, seating areas, table tennis, yoga & tai chi space, as well as a children’s play space.

 

Parking

There are 741 proposed parking spaces that will be spread over a five level underground parkade as well as an above ground area that the two towers will share with the Safeway supermarket. It is estimated that about 20% of the parking spaces will be for small cars and 25% will contain electric vehicle charging. On top of this there will also be 470 bike storage spaces, 446 of which are long-term residential spaces, 12 will be short-term residential, and the final 12 are commercial spaces.
